How Selvo works

Pick a picture, choose your words, speak. Selvo learns how you like to say things as you go.

  1. Pick a picture

Start from a photo, a place, a person, or a saved phrase. Your own photos come first. Tiles stay where you put them.

  2. Choose your words

Selvo offers three ways to say it, in your style. Another brings three more. Incorrect removes one and teaches Selvo for next time.

Can we get coffee before work?
Coffee first. Then I'll be nice.
    Is there time for coffee?

  3. Speak

Out loud, in a voice you chose. A single tap, and you see Spoken when it is done.

Five places to start

Photos

Your own pictures, the fastest way to say what you are looking at.

Places

Where you are, where you are going, and the places you talk about.

People

The people you see most, with their faces, so you can talk to them or about them.

Phrases

Things you say often, saved the way you say them. They work offline.

Listen

Selvo hears what is said to you, only when you turn it on, and offers replies.

Show it instead

Loud room, quiet room, or a listener who reads faster than they hear. Show turns your message to the other person in large type, one tap away.

Made to keep up

The screen never goes blank because a model is slow, and the controls are in the same place every time.

  • Tiles never move. Your hand learns where to go.
  • Back and Undo are always on screen. Nothing times out.
  • Saved phrases and tiles work without a connection.
  • Text size, contrast, theme, and speech rate are yours to set.
